What is Learning 2.0 to you?

Learning 2.0 is a change in beliefs, meaning that students can now be learners that are more independent and do not need to have an educator lecture at them in order to learn. Today’s students need to be actively involved in their education. The stark contrast between their scheduled and structured life in school and their multimedia, fast paced, constant contact life out of school causes many anxieties which we, as educators, need to understand. As society changes, education need to change with it and allow student to use all the means that they have in front of them. Today’s students have the world at their figure tips and we need to instruct them on the proper way to access it, instead of just limiting it and making it a structured activity. We need to encourage them to delve deeper into the subject and take what we are showing them and turn it into something that they can connect with and, intern, use in the future.
